CAD TECHNICIAN - AUCKLAND

We are looking for a CAD drafter to join our dedicated design team in a permanent, full time role.

You will have experience in civil and mechanical AutoCAD drafting,  and ideally experience with Civil 3D, and 3D modelling using Solid Edge or similar.  Training in 3D will be provided to the right candidate.

 

Experience in the local government and water sectors, is also considered useful, however, it is not essential.  As importantly, you will be willing to learn from the considerable experience held by other team members and work in a dynamic project team environment.

 

Ideally you will have a tertiary and/or technician level qualification and be seeking further development.  We offer professional development and registration opportunities.

ENVIRONMENTAL SPECIALIST - AUCKLAND
AWT 
is currently looking for an Environmental Specialist with 5 years post graduate New Zealand-based experience to join our Environmental team in Auckland.  AWT is a leading environmental and engineering consulting firm and provides services to government agencies, industry, major infrastructure providers and private developers.  


The environmental team works nation-wide and projects can include not only one-off, stand-alone resource management projects but also being part of multi-disciplinary teams on large, complex environmental and engineering projects. We are committed to providing professional services using robust and defendable design and assessment methods and tools to ensure practical, economic and environmentally sustainable outcomes.

 

The projects are stimulating and varied, and may include:

  • Resource Management & Strategic Planning Advice
  • Resource Consent Applications & Assessment of Environmental Effects
  • Consent Compliance Auditing & Management Plans
  • Environmental monitoring & impact assessments
    • Water Quality monitoring  
    • Flow gauging     
    • Soil characterisation and hydraulics   
    • Water balances      
    • Nutrient budgets & management

This position would suit someone with a relevant environmental science or planning qualification, proven experience and knowledge of the Resource Management Act, and ideally NZPI or IPENZ Membership.  Given the consultancy nature of our business you will need to be a team player and have excellent oral and written communication skills. A strong customer driven work ethic will underpin your expertise and will be among a range of skills that will assist you in building a strong profile within AWT and among our clients.
