DATA MANAGEMENT SYSTEM (DMS)

Often unseen, trade waste can, on one level, appear unimportant but can have a significant underlying effect on wastewater treatment plant performance, operation costs and treatment compliance. In addition, unmonitored discharges can contaminate the solids stream sludge or biosolids, restricting possible beneficial reuse. Risk can be reduced and costs can be recovered from trade waste customers by utilising this easy to use database. Staff can be alerted immediately to non-compliances, reports can be tailored to individual requirements and invoicing time can be reduced.

Effective trade waste management involves the collection of data from a multitude of separate companies ranging from the local fish and chip shop to a large industrial site operating wet chemical facilities.  AWT Water has developed a comprehensive data management and reporting system to help trade waste officers keep track of monitoring, identify compliance issues quickly and invoice efficiently. Data can be entered by various parties (lab, admin, sampler etc.) reducing double-entry risk and improving accuracy.

The DMS has a web based interface to make it user friendly and easily accessible to all relevant parties. It is integrated with on-line mapping software to enable staff to view their customers’ information either geospacially, on an on-line map, or alphabetically. This makes it very quick and easy to find client files. The system also allows for expendability and future development, and permits interaction between the database and other software packages

All our clients become part of a consortium of users that contribute to advancing the service making our product even more dynamic. The development of new features is therefore driven by the user community.

AWT Water also has expertise with the implementation of Trade Waste Bylaws, consenting and compliance monitoring.
